Amanita Skelatrix
Amanita Skelatrix
Mushy Skeli has fallen in love!!! (Though only from afar!). Meet Amanita Skelatrix…
The German mycologist Harald Othmar Lenz named and described this Fungi Amanita muscaria (L. ex Fr.) Pers. Ex Hooker in 1831. The Fly Agaric was traditionally used as an insecticide. The cap was broken up and sprinkled into saucers of milk. It's known to contain ibotenic acid, which both attracts and kills flies – Mushy Skeli thinks Amanita Skelatrix was using something of that nature to attract him. He has seen her many times now, hanging around the fairy circles.
